“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” Mark 11:22-26
What kind of mountains are you looking at right now? Is it family problems? Maybe it’s emotional or health problems or addictions maybe it’s drugs, alcohol maybe it’s looking at porn and lust or financial problems. How big is your mountain? You have to have faith that God can and will level your mountain of circumstances.
“I will go before you and will level the mountains.” Isaiah 45:2
A voice of one calling: “In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” Isaiah 40:3-5
These are powerful scriptures. Yes, your mountains of problems may look huge and downright impossible to be moved. But God can bring down your mountains. He can take your despair and hopelessness and bring it up so that with faith, you can see the road to God’s will and way for your life.
When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.” “O unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment. Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:14-20
Are you walking in faith? Or does the enemy Satan and his demons have you paralyzed with fear? The fear you may be having is because of the unknown future. You do not know what life may have next for you. You may be tired and weary beat down because of the huge responsibility that you been carrying. God wants you and me to have faith. Where is your faith?
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6
You and I must fight the enemy by reading and speaking God’s Word and singing praises to God and listen to praise music. The enemy is out to steal, kill and destroy you. You must stand up, put on the armor of God, take ahold of your thoughts and use God’s mighty weapons as taught in 2 Corinthians Ch. 10.
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
How would you say your faith is today? You and I have to walk in faith and believe in God’s Word. Believe in the power of God. Have faith and wait for the Lord to change your issues. Ask the Lord to give you faith that will move your mountains!
What is faith? Is a confidence that the testimony of the authors of scripture is reliable and true. True faith involves a commitment of your whole being to God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit Jesus had sent to us whom believes in Him and following His will for our lives. You must believe hope and trust God. Believing is confessing in your heart God’s mighty power. Believing includes action, but also the confidence of knowing that God is who He says He is and does what He says He will do. Scripture says it better than I ever can, because my words are nothing to God’s word.
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
It is always hard looking at those mountains of circumstances when you do not see the way to fix them. I can tell you from personal experience the way to fix them is too fast and pray and wait for the Lord to speak to your heart with the instructions of His will on what you are to do next. Now choose to walk and live in faith and peace every day and serve your God with boldness.
